The Sound of the Wind

Makes me want to grind my teeth

And run away to a quieter place

To forget about the slapping rain

When the wind slams it against my house

Ain’t That The Truth?

Whenever anyone would tell my father

A sudden awakening truth to explain a situation

He’d always say without hesitation on his side

“Ain’t that the truth, B’y?”

Then all present would laugh and

Say “You are so right!”

Words From The Past

I recall my father’s words

When people try to drag you down

You are just as good after you’re talked about

As you were before!

Smile and give God thanks for

All your blessings!

Foggiest Place On Earth

You are there
But you don’t even
Appreciate the calmness or
See it!
It’s listed in the
Guinness World Book
But if you arrive
You won’t know it!
I’ve lived here forever
Or so it seems when
At times you can’t see
Your neighbour’s house
Or your neighbour!
Don’t drive too fast or
You will find that you are
Over a cliff without any help
Never to know our small place
When the fog lifts!
