I`m Going To A Wake Today

My friend Brenda`s mom

passed away on Tuesday

She was a nurse for many years

in a tiny place called Tack`s Beach

She was a mother and a friend to many

a pillar of her community

She was a splendid wife to a

propserous fish merchant

She brought her children up well

as church going people with a great work ethic

She loved them and their offspring dearly right

up to the end of her life

She worked hard in her lifetime

and never flinched from life`s struggles
